Update the plug-in
  1. Go to the home screen of the Kodi player and click on the Settings button on the top left corner.

  2. Once Device Manager opens, go to Sound, video and game controllers option and double click on it to expand. Under it, choose your audio output device, High Definition Audio Device, in most of the cases.
  3. Right-click on the device and select the Update Driver option.
  4. A new window to update the driver opens up. Select the option to ‘Search automatically for updated driver software.’ Alternatively, you can first download the latest driver online and then select the second option to install that driver.
  5. It will now search online for the latest driver for your device and provide the latest driver available. Select the driver, if any appears, and click on Next to install it.
  6. If there is no driver available, try uninstalling the device and installing a driver manually.
  7. Once the driver is fixed and upto date, you should be able to have sound in Kodi and other video players on your system.
